GENERAL: Your e-Scopes® Online or Phone Order is usually, but not always, ready to ship the same day... with automatic E-MAIL CONFIRMATION when your order is received AND when it ships! (Overseas shipping takes somewhat longer...)
STANDARD SHIPPING: Although UPS ground shipping has become VERY expensive lately, we are still offering shipping for most orders for $US 9.99 or 15% of the value of your order (whichever is greater) up to a maximum charge of $US 20.00. The actual amount of the standard UPS GROUND shipping charge is automatically calculated and displayed when you check out. NON-STANDARD SHIPPING: Charges for other than U.S. domestic UPS ground shipping is calculated in the following manner: 1.) UPS RED, BLUE AND ORANGE SERVICE: Also available at significant extra cost. The dollar amount for shipping shown at checkout is the charge for UPS Ground shipping ONLY. The extra cost for UPS Red, Blue or Orange will be MANUALLY added to your order total. We can notify you of the amount of this extra shipping charge in advance, if you request it. 2.) ALASKA, HAWAII, P.R., CANADA: For all packages to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Canada, there IS an additional charge for shipping. This is because UPS Red and Blue are the ONLY UPS services available to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. UPS sometimes charges a $US 25.00 "Customs Brokerage Fee" for shipments going to Canada. We have no control over this. If you request it on your order form in the "Comments" section, we can notify you of shipping charges (but NOT "Customs" charges) for your approval before shipment is made and before your credit card is charged. 3.) OVERSEAS ORDERS: For all "Overseas" locations, we usually ship by Air Parcel Post for "small, inexpensive" items and by Global Express Mail for larger, more expensive items where a tracking number and insurance is needed. These services are fast, reliable (in most locations...) and are far less expensive than UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. If you request it, we will contact you with the amount of additional shipping for your approval before shipment is made and before your credit card is charged. We provide full insurance on most overseas shipments. However, the USPS does not provide insurance coverage to certain countries. Overseas shipping takes up to 30 days -- even by air -- because of security, customs inspections, etc. 4.) OVERSEAS TAXES: There are no "export taxes" for shipments made from the United States that are charged to you. However, your country MAY have import taxes and other fees that will apply to your order and that you must pay to your country's authorities before claiming your package. We can not tell you what these fees might cost, so you will need to determine this in advance from your country's authorities if this is of concern to you.
